So really no hauls to be shared or goodies to rave about but more what I've seen and plan to get my mitts on soon as. Been terrible with posts but finally taking a break this Easter after weeks of running round like a mad woman, work stresses, good times, tears and internal tantrums but always keeping decorum and the Duchess (Duchjess) tiara in place.

Finally got Blogger app on mobile so can nip in and out with short and sweet posts when to tired to drag myself to the laptop. Anyway on to happy I Spy (ed) treats from little browse today,  no money to go mental alas but doesn't stop me planning...spring promises to myself are look after my skin more especially at night and rehab from acrylics for a while means get back into good nail care and ♥ colours again Yay!

So to kick start my regimes..

Loreal and Olay age defiance serum, cleansing, wash and wipes must soon get underway

Resolutions....Revolution of 'Les Mis' proportions!

New Times....Good Times...

Playing out on a school night, bit of street art photography, free tequila from hot random at the bar and making plans for Ascot...making a list

It's been a busy time, great weekend just gone, met some cool new peoples, visited Broadway market for the first time and fell in love with the amazing barrows, stalls, band performing out   and OH MY GOD food glorious food (I was working the free tasters like a mofo pro). Visited a couple of new places, booked some more exciting things to get stuck into and being proactive on the 'I want I want...' front to include #newjob #hotboy #lustingafterlist so.....

Saturday - Hackney, Mare Street, Broadway Market & snap happy Street Art Photography

As committed and promised to myself after much trying to talk myself out of (what with camera having not arrived in post yet up until the Friday night) and nerves of doing something new alone looming...I got my butt into gear Saturday morning, imagined the smug win I'd feel post-attending and made my way to Hackney Central Library for me booked The Amazings Street Art Photography Session with Andrew (check it out www.amazings.co.uk). Think it was fate that my camera coincidentally arrived at 10.00am Sat morning and an email I sent the night before to try and get out of it was replied to first thing with encouragement to 'please still come along we'd love to see you' pull on the heart strings. Running like a crazy person I made it  20 mins late and immediately knew I'd made the right choice. A small group of 9 and Andrew were delightful, at all levels of experience taking photos and so friendly. We had a tutorial followed by making our through London Fields, Broadway Market and down by the river back via Mare street to upload and share what we snapped and enjoyed..was great!

Narrative of the above pics and too many to possibly upload...freezing cold day so stopped of a the best 'coffee stall' whaaaa? ever tasted fab and guys were so lovely (and even though its not Starbucks glitzy they still take your name, write it on your cup and hollar you out ha), lush crazy throaty voiced french accordion player really wanted to nick' her gorge fur jacket...she was oh so chic and clearly a little drunk...I love her. Danced in the middle of the market to the cutest band with hot boy rocking a cello and female vocalist singing into a self made teeny tiny mega phone who resembled (affectionately the good blue fairy Merriweather)...for anyone who was really listening to their upbeat vibes did you note the 'Satan will take your soul' lyrics 0_o Random Nikita hat wearing barrow boy/old guy sat out with his rollies and glass of red? although all forgiven when he tossed me free tangerine with a wink and loads more to behold and literally around the world on a yum yum foodie tour in once round the market - I cant wait to go back soon!

Sunday - to go or not to go to Brick Lane?

I went...and fell in love all over again with some friends I haven't seen for ages but adore, topped up the good energy stores (and vodka diet coke bank), ate well, met some good people who generally were also just out for a good night too and set up nice for week ahead - we visited:

Sweet and Spicy - well renowned venue for the best kebab roll in London and weirdest advert for tea I have ever seen (see below you'll get what I mean and behold in 'cant look away disgust'. Definitely will go back as although roll was great, everything else being brought out and served to those around us looked yum (and I always have 'should have had what they got' envy)

Vibe Bar - which for a Sunday was far too good and a little bit dirrty! - GOOD CHOONES, nice prices for lighter pockets (always good for January and middle of the month) and massive. We danced a little, wrangled a free teQuila shot from a hottie stranger at the bar and managed to knick' a fab pair of sunnies for pic from the loveliest and might I add gorgeous 'glam grandmother' ever!

Right this post has become rather long..a lot long..and so will roll over lists to next post!

Anywhere to recommend? Tried, dined at or danced the night away at any little gems? I would love to hear from you. Let me know....

Back to reality and long gone are days spent in my dressing gown browsing Sky plus delights...

BACK TO WORK.....UURRRGGGHHH!

Trying to keep a positive attitude and rocking the 'can-do' feeling blue sky thinking of a new year and good things to come.....

So back at work this week and already feeling right back at circa mid-December 2012 -plugged out, empty and tire- basically I am on the search for a new job feel (my current post is not where I should or want to be and feel like those 8 and sometimes (alot more than sometimes and actually more like 10 hours) spent at work are a waste of my best. I feel frustrated in raring to go full steam ahead with making changes for the better in 2013, getting stuck into something I can fall in love with 'career wise' and reaching for what I finally want versus soldiering on with my current hum-drum.

Mostly I want to stop being so tired I just crash on the couch in front of the soaps and watch myself exist rather than do. This blog and taking the time to focus my brain on something productive and enjoyable is and will be my buoy in the ocean this week and the future (at least next couple of weeks) till I am on track, and as things are a little hectic I will make quick posts 'rocked and sucked' - such as for today what:

Rocked

1. Receiving confirmation email of afternoon tea with one of my oldest and dearest S (she kindly booked as surprise) for which we have cheekily booked a half day from work to skip off for fine china and fall face first into a haven of cakes at Pret-a-Portea for the London Fashionista's Tea party...very excited

2. Booking tickets for London Fashion Weekend - looking forward to prospective February fashionista shopping, an exclusive designed tote filled with goodies, glass of champagne and my complimentary copy of Elle (check it out loads of great packages per ticket deal)

3. Booking a March date to visit Harrods Laudree restaurant for a 'macaroon experience' according to the girls, I am in for a treat. Additionally of course have been lured by a chance to browse Knightsbridge finest and leave with my * little green bag * I hope although depending on when it falls around pay day

4. Finding a couple of really good jobs to apply for which I shall keep my fingers crossed and keep you up to date...of course they are fashion/creative related...wish me luck

5. Ok so not a today happening but looking forward to next installment of Mr Selfridge mmmm Jeremy Piven - must come back to this following Sunday's viewing

Trying to make sure have something (at least one thing) each month to look forward to

Sucked

  • Work
  • 1-1 meeting with manager in which we were discussing strategic planning for March-August (really want to be out by end of Feb) - although lovely manager and felt awful
  • Shivering, literally bone rattling, in the cold today although gorgeously bright today
  • Still waiting for my camera to arrive which has still not come in the post and my 'street art photography' course is this saturday...really hope it comes in time...bluergh!
Rally hope you guys are having a good week/start to the new year and still embracing fresh starts, being good, getting stuck into...whatever it is you have promised yourself or this year.

PS Looking forward to weekend as bought a few bits last week that I wanted to share here which aren't too naughty I tell myself as all in the spirit of the 'SALES' - More retalias threpayious

Damn you eBay

Diminished Responsibility.....

So the spending embargo I set myself Monday is well and true out the window #FAIL #Toastfordinnerlunchandbreakfast

So... at oh say 9.20pm my phone went off to alert me a gorgeous and very rare rose gold studded Ted Baker purse I had been flirting with and 'sort of' bidding on, on Ebay was about to go as another user I had been having a silent button bash war with had decided to brutally up the ante with 2 minutes and 12 seconds to go...and of course I don't like to lose (plus I am currently on festive annual leave and so this sparked need for action is key to making sure I don't get too idle). So I closed my eyes, played dumb, bid again and oopps won it....

But just look at her so pretty...mwuhahaha...

So I've never done a haul and don't think I'm ready for that quite yet (and the lovely ladies that do them via blog or vlog, do them oh so well without my drop in the ocean) but for anyone else having trouble saying no in the Post-Christmas spend climate with SALE SALE SALE screaming all around you on the high street, online and coming through the letterbox...don't feel guilty alone. I've clocked up these so far and will pay.....

1. Can I start off by saying Laura's fault, as I spent boxing day bedazzled by her sequin sleeve khaki parka and justifiably need this for Saturday shopping to save me from the drudgery of supermarket cues and bad weekend weather, plus my fave mac is dying and needs a break. 'Sequins (like a puppy) are for life...not just for Christmas' Exhibit A

2. A 'bulk buy' beauty necessity in that if I shall resign oneself to being poor this month but unblemished and hopefully flawless (to see how far a pretty face will get me in walking out of shop without exchange of monies for goods lol) till next pay day. Soap and Glory Scrub Your Nose In It dedication x3 - an oldie but goodie Get On it if not already!

3. Ebay crimes again...arrggh a new camera to get me snap happy, armed to steal good pictures to post here and also in my bid to really embrace 'said love of photography' having booked in an afternoon's Street Photography Tutorial next weekend through The Amazings for a walk about around Hackney with a professional photographer who shows you how to identify and capture great photos and art happening all around you. So of course can't turn up to Hackney Library with all the pro/semis waving my Samsung phone trying to stay out of the way of their uber lenses...and so bid and won this little used but loved beaute for a steal Camera Love

4. Not at all least and I'm not even going to pretend last, I floated into the Perfume Shop today (literally felt myself floating along) drawn in my the wonderful fragrances that hit my nose as I tried to hurry by ( but it was like when cartoon characters are usually harpooned by baited cheese) and got reacquainted with a summer must-have scent for staying fresh and lingering pretty scents Chloe by Chloe (so will put that down till sun makes appearance #likelytogrowdustinprocessofwaiting) and one pretty ditty I have been after/waiting for, for ages to go down in price and found a boxed gift set of Tresor Midnight Rose

Really if I am honest this is all a case of classic retail therapy as I detest January (major blue time) I always have always will. You see I adore Christmas, the sparkle, build up and festive good cheer but the  coming of Jan means it truly has been, done and left me for another year. The idea of going back to work...yuck after the glory of lazy days getting up late and going to bed whenever without guilt, its like back to school post summer hols. The weather this time of year more than most in London is miserable, people hunch and hurry about and I hate the rain (although do love a dry crisp chilly day). Lastly there are no particular special occasions or holidays in Jan and everyone and everything just seems a bit slow, quiet and sluggish but bringing home something gorgeously De-lovely (a la up top purchases) puts a hug-in-a-mug band aid on that!

....and so my conscience is now clear and shizzle hauled out if anyone has taken the time to read this post thank you so much and please do share how you are riding out the January blues?
